COURSE DESCRIPTION
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who service, diagnose and repair electrical systems and components in vehicles in the automotive electrical service and repair industry.
This course is designed for international students who are not involved in a traditional traineeship and will be involved in both theory and practical training in a full time capacity to gain the qualification.
Class size: The class size could differ depending on the placements available during the term intake. It could vary in number up to maximum 25 per class.
Pathways from the qualification
Further training pathways from this qualification include AUR40116 Certificate IV in Automotive Management or other relevant qualifications.
Employment or occupational pathway
The Certificate III in Automotive Sales prepares new employees or recognises and develops existing workers who service, diagnose and repair vehicle electrical and electronic systems and components.
Job roles related to this qualification include:
• Automotive electrician
• Automotive electrical technician
• Automotive electrical diagnostic technician
Assessment Methods
Assessment will be either a Recognition of Prior Learning pathway or a Training and Assessment pathway.
Participants are advised of the assessment requirements at the start of each training session for a Training and Assessment pathway.
Students not achieving competency in any of the assessments will be required to undertake another assessment under the terms and conditions of MITT’s reassessment policy.
REQUIREMENTS
The entry requirements for international students:
Must be 18 years old or over
Completed year 11 or equivalent
Minimum score of 5.5 – IELTS, 46 – TOEFL, 42 – PTE, 47 CAE score or equivalent
