COURSE DESCRIPTION
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply knowledge, practical skills and experience in leadership and management across a range of enterprise and industry contexts. Individuals at this level display initiative and judgement in planning, organising, implementing and monitoring their own workload and the workload of others. They use communication skills to support individuals and teams to meet organisational or enterprise requirements. They may plan, design, apply and evaluate solutions to unpredictable problems, and identify, analyse and synthesise information from a variety of sources.
Assessments
This program is delivered under competency-based training which means instead of grading or marks, students are required to demonstrate all the criteria for each unit of competency and student are marked “Competent or “Not yet competent”. NAIT will use a range of assessment methods to assess required skills and knowledge for each unit of competency in the course. Assessment may be a combination of written questions, assignments, role plays, case studies, projects and practical observation.
Study Pathway
This program is part of the Business Services Training Package and offers pathways into a number of business and management qualifications. After completing the this course, students may pursue further studies in VET Advanced Diploma or Bachelor Degree programs offered by Australian Higher Education providers.
REQUIREMENTS
Academic requirements
To enter this qualification, applicants should have successfully completed Australian senior secondary school examination (year 12) or higher (e.g. Certificate III or Cert IV in relevant filed e.g. Business or management).
English language requirements
International students applying for this course either off-shore or on-shore will require:
Either a minimum IELTS (Academic) test score of 5.5 or equivalent for direct entry into a VET course;
or, IELTS score of 5.0 or equivalent with an ELICOS course (up to 10 weeks) to be taken before the main VET course;
or, IELTS score of 4.5 or equivalent with an ELICOS course (up to 20 weeks) to be taken before the main VET course;
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) paper based

Minimum test score where combined with at least 20 weeks ELICOS: 450
TOEFL internet-based test
Minimum test score: 46

Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic

Minimum age requirements
National Australian Institute of Technology Pty Ltd. will only enroll students who are over 18 years of age at commencement of this qualification.
