This qualification will enable individuals who wish to develop skills and knowledge in servicing, diagnosing and repairing mechanical systems and components in vehicles in the automotive mechanical service and repair industry. AUR40216 Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis provides students with a background across a wide range of functions in the automotive retail, service and repair industry. Students will develop skills in performing technical mechanical diagnosis on vehicles in a practical environment.
Upon successful completion of all units in this course, students are eligible for the award of AUR40216 Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis.

Qualification pathway:
After achieving AUR30616 or AUR30620 Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology qualification or be able to demonstrate equivalent competency.
This includes any qualification completed, as listed in the Academic and language proficiency requirements below. Applicants with relevant prior formal studies that satisfy part of the academic requirements of the course may be granted ‘credit’ and/or entry to the course with ‘advanced standing’.
Work Experience/Employment pathway:
