COURSE DESCRIPTION
Designed to provide you with a solid Biblical foundation, basic communication skills and character development.
Structure
The course structure is based on two semesters (each 15 week duration), with four units taught in each semester. It comprises of:
4 Core units
4 Ministry Units
Students accepted into the course on a provisional basis follow the structure outlined below:
4 Core units
3 Ministry Units
1 Study Skills unit
Each unit carries 3 credit points and graduates require a total of 24 credit points to successfully complete the course.
Course Completion
Students may exit the course at any given moment, and will receive a Statement of Attainment with a list of all the completed units. When a student has completed all the requirements of the 4 core Units and 4 Ministry Electives, they will be awarded with the Diploma of Ministry. The Diploma of Ministry is equivalent to 1 year of the Advanced Diploma or Bachelor of Ministry.
Recognition of Prior Learning
Perth Bible College will assess Recognition of Prior Learning on a case-by-case basis.
REQUIREMENTS
Every candidate must:
- Overseas students must be 18 years or older.
All students will also be required to demonstrate English Proficiency, which is equivalent to an academic IELTS band of 6.0 overall and in reading and writing subset. This can be demonstrated by either:
- Evidence of the completion of studies undertaken only in the English language
- Evidence of the completion of English studies undertaken at TAFE or an equivalent institution
- Completion of an external assessment of English language, for example an IELTS (Academic Version)
- Completion of an onsite English evaluation. Candidates will be required to attend the PBC campus to complete the evaluation.
Every candidate must either:
- have completed year 12 in the Australian school system or equivalent,
- have other acceptable post-secondary qualifications (e.g. Cert IV or above in any field),
- qualify for admission as a mature age student or
- qualify for Provisional Admission
EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION
Perth Bible College is an evangelical College in Australia offering programs in theological education. The College was established in 1928 and is a participating member of the South Pacific Association of Bible Colleges. The College offers the following courses: Graduate Diploma of Bible and Ministry; Bachelor of Ministry Degree; Advanced Diploma in Christian Ministry; Diploma of Ministry; and Diploma of Ministry with English Studies. The Perth Bible College is located in Karrinyup, Western Australia.
