COURSE DESCRIPTION
The Certificate III in Individual Support is designed for individuals working in community, home, or residential care settings, providing person-centred support to people with diverse needs. This qualification equips learners with the necessary skills and knowledge to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team under supervision and delegation.

Responsibilities: Individuals undertaking this qualification take responsibility for their own outputs within the scope of their job role and delegation.
Knowledge: They possess factual, technical, and procedural knowledge, as well as some theoretical understanding of the concepts and practices required to provide person-centered support.

The skills acquired through this qualification must be applied in accordance with Commonwealth and State/Territory legislation, Australian standards, and industry codes of practice. The practical application of these skills is crucial to ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and support.

To achieve this qualification, candidates must have completed a minimum of 120 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of the units of competency. This hands-on experience is essential for demonstrating competence in real-world scenarios.
