RMIT’s Bachelor of Science offers you the flexibility and choice to complete a degree tailored to your interests.
With major and minor options that span the breadth of physical and natural sciences and allied disciplines, this science degree is embedded with Industry Partnered Learning and focuses on skills development to support your future science career.
Your science degree begins with a suite of introductory subjects in which you will learn and explore core science concepts across physical, life, data and mathematical science disciplines and develop and strengthen key scientific and transferable skills, providing a transformative learning experience that will underpin your future studies and careers.
You can then choose your areas in which to specialise from a suite of complementary majors and minors across the breadth of sciences, including:
Biological Sciences
Biotechnology
Chemistry
Food Science and Technology
Mathematics
Nutrition Science
Physics
Statistics.
These majors can be complemented by an extensive choice of generalist minors within these and additional areas, offering further flexibility or the opportunity for further specialisation.

Since its establishment in 1887, Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University (RMIT) has been meeting the needs of the community surrounding it. Originally a Working Men’s College, RMIT showed its flexibility during World War Two, training over 20,000 servicemen in communications to help with the war effort.Now, it is a true pioneer in international education, championing cross-border study opportunities with campuses in various countries. Granted formal university status in 1992, RMIT is ranked 21st in the world for universities that are less than 50 years old.RMIT is the largest higher education institution in Australia, currently with more than 82,000 students.
