COURSE DESCRIPTION
Project Management is a dynamic field with many, varied applications across a wide range of careers and is becoming a key skill in all types of is course is applicable worldwide applying the theory to the modern workplace. The training materials are developed, delivered and assessed by experienced trainers with industry experience. By completing a Diploma of Project Management students will:
- Be able to apply project management skills and knowledge.
- Manage projects in a variety of contexts, across a number of industry sectors.
- Be responsible for achieving project objectives.
- Graduates will possess a sound theoretical knowledge base and use a range of specialised, technical and managerial competencies to initiate, plan, execute and evaluate their own work and/or the work of others.
UNIT DETAILS
A total of 12 units of competency is required to obtain this qualification. On successful completion of the course students will be issued with the Diploma of Project Management (BSB51415) recognised within the Australian Qualification Framework. (Clustered program)
CAREER OUTCOMES
Project Management is all about setting and achieving reasonable and attainable goals. It is the process of planning, organizing, and overseeing how and when these goals are met.
Typical of careers requiring elements of project management are:
Business, insurance, banking, internet, marketing, IT, human resources, bio technology, farming, real estate, manufacturing, engineering, construction, and architecture.
MODE OF LEARNING
Mixed / Blended
The formal learning takes place through a structured program of instruction through face to face delivery with your Shafston teacher on the Shafston campus.
You will be able to learn from your teacher and classmates as you study together through a combination of formal classroom based learning and independent study / research.
– Further support is provided at the weekly Class Tutorial Support sessions with your teacher.
– Additional support is available at the Academic Literacy sessions.
– 20 hours of scheduled contact is allocated per week to complete the course requirements with no more than 25% on-line.
– This includes real world experience through vocational placement for students enrolled in Early Childhood qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 17 years of age, with Year 11 equivalent.
English levels at minimum IELTS 5.5 or equivalent.
