This qualification is an extension of both the Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and the Certificate IV in Kitchen Management (which are prerequisites for this course), and equips students with the skills and knowledge to work in the hospitality industry at a senior level, overseeing catering within a large organisation or managing a moderate sized hospitality business.
Students’ broad range of hospitality training is further enhanced with administrative and managerial skills, preparing students to coordinate hospitality operations and manage legal risks.
Graduates emerge as highly skilled senior operators, able to operate independently with limited management oversight, and trained to manage large numbers of staff and make significant operational business decisions within their roles.

REQUIREMENTS
There are five basic requirements to enrol in the SIT50422 Diploma of Hospitality Management.
You must have completed both the SIT30821 Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and the SIT40521 Certificate IV in Kitchen Management qualifications with Solis College.
You must be able to provide evidence of your COVID-19 vaccination status and show you are compliant with all state, federal and territory vaccination requirements.
You must be a legal adult – aged 18 years or older.
You must be willing to undertake a suitability interview with Solis College, to demonstrate you are willing, able and suitable to take part in the training.
You must be able to speak, read and write in English, perform basic numeracy tasks, and use common digital technology. In some cases, Solis College may administer a language literacy and numeracy (LLN) test to assess this.
