What You will Learn
In this qualification, you will learn various skills which can be applied in the hospitality work environment.
This qualification provides a pathway to work as a departmental or small business manager in any hospitality industry sector. The diversity of employers includes restaurants, hotels, motels, catering operations, clubs, pubs, cafes, and coffee shops. This qualification allows for multiskilling and for acquiring targeted skills in accommodation services, cookery, food, and beverage, and gaming.
The skills in this qualification must be applied in accordance with Commonwealth and State/Territory legislation, Australian standards, and industry codes of practice.
REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least 16 years old
Must hold a current Student Visa (at the time of course commencement)
Must demonstrate satisfactory completion of studies in the applicant’s home country equivalent to an Australian Year 12 qualification.*
Have completed one of the following qualifications: SIT50422 Diploma of Hospitality Management; or have completed two years equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience at a significant level within a project or program environment within an enterprise.
English Language Tests
International English Language Testing system
Overall band score 6.0; or;
Overall band score 5.5 if packaged with at least 12 weeks ELICOS; or
Overall band score of 5.0 if packaged with at least 24 weeks ELICOS.
Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) test
169; or
• 162, if packaged with at least 12 weeks ELICOS; or
• 154, if packaged with at least 24 weeks ELICOS.
Pearson Test of English Academic
50; or
• 42, if packaged with at least 12 weeks ELICOS; or
• 36, if packaged with at least 24 weeks ELICOS.
Occupational English Test
a score of at least B for each test component of the OET.
