Program Aim
The aim of the SAHE Bachelor of Business program is to provide students with the broad and coherent knowledge and competencies necessary to develop critical, analytical and evaluative skills essential for a fulfilling an effective career in business.
Degree Overview
The Bachelor of Business (Accounting Major) will provide students with key business principles and the relevant practical skills which can be applied broadly in the increasingly dynamic and global accounting environment. This program encompasses taxation, auditing, and consultancy skills, supported by knowledge of associated disciplines of law, economics, finance and statistics.
Upon graduation, students will have established the financial skills, analytical skills, and organisational skills required in every business and will be able to apply professional judgment when preparing, analysing, and interpreting financial information. Successful completion of the Bachelor of Business (Accounting Major) may qualify for entry into graduate programs offered by higher education institutions in Australia that requires Bachelor of Business as an entry requirement.
As part of their specialisation study, SAHE graduates of Bachelor of Business (Accounting Major) is structured to meet the prerequisites for eligibility to apply for the membership of professional bodies in the accounting area such as CPA Australia, the Chartered Accountants of Australia, and New Zealand, and/or the Institute of Public Accountants.

Career Outcomes
A graduate of the Bachelor of Business (Accounting Major) will have skills, industry knowledge, and in-depth knowledge of business management principles in practice. Students will be eligible to apply for the following entry-level roles:

REQUIREMENTS
1. Prior Education in English
a. Successful completion of one year of tertiary study in Australia (Diploma, Foundation or Higher Education);
b. Successful completion of a Certificate IV in a related field at an Australian institution;
c. Successful completing of the International Baccalaureate (IB) English B Standard Level grade 5 or above, English Higher Level (A1 or A2) grade 4 or above;
d. Students from the English Speaking countries who have citizenship or permanent long-term residency (minimum ten years) or have completed senior secondary study or at least one year of full-time university study in one of these countries and the language in which the qualification was undertaken was English
2. Proof of English Language standard through English Language Test results
a. English language proficiency test results must have been attained no more than two years before the date of application.
Test Acceptable Score
IELTS 6.0 (or higher) (no component lower than 5.5)
TOEFL (electronic) 213 (or higher) (with a minimum essay rating of 4.5)
TOEFL (internet-based) 80 (or higher) (with a minimum of 19 in all bands)
Pearson (PTE Academic) 50 (or higher) (with all communicative skills scores 50 or above)
3. Completion of English language courses
a. Applicants can demonstrate proficiency in English if they have completed English Language Intensive Course for Overseas Students (ELICOS) program with an accredited provider before being admitted to the Academy. Certificates of competency must be shown.
b. International students without the required level of English at the time of application will be required to satisfactorily complete an appropriate English Language Intensive Course for Overseas Students (ELICOS) program with an accredited provider before being admitted to the Academy.
