Work Placement

This course requires work placement which will be organised by SGSCC. Work placement (unpaid) is a compulsory component of the course where you will be assessed in the workplace.
80 hours

  1. CHCDIV001 Work with diverse people
  2. CHCDIV002 Promote Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander cultural safety
  3. CHCLEG001 Work legally and ethically
  4. CHCMHS002 Establish self-directed recovery relationships
  5. CHCMHS003 Provide recovery oriented mental health services
  6. CHCMHS004 Work collaboratively with the care network and other services
  7. CHCMHS005 Provide services to people with co-existing mental health and alcohol and other drugs issues
  8. CHCMHS007 Work effectively in trauma informed care
  9. CHCMHS008 Promote and facilitate self-advocacy
  10. CHCMHS011 Assess and promote social, emotional and physical wellbeing
  11. HLTWHS001 Participate in workplace health and safety
  12. CHCCCS003 Increase the safety of individuals at risk of suicide
  13. CHCAOD001 Work in an alcohol and other drugs context
  14. CHCCCS017 Provide loss and grief support
  15. CHCDFV001 Recognise and respond appropriately to domestic and family violence

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Upper intermediate level of English (IELTS Score of 5.5 or equivalent)

All students must undertake the following:

  • Working with Children Check
  • Criminal Record Check.
