COURSE DESCRIPTION
Did you stop studying in high school but have the desire to start tertiary education? Our Foundation Program has been developed to bridge the gap between high school and tertiary studies. While completing the Foundation Program, you will study units and practice skills required for academic success in the SIBT Diploma Program (equivalent to one year of University studies). Some of the Foundation units you select will depend on the Diploma you wish to study.

Standard program
Our students who study the Foundation Standard Program will study five Standard core units and three electives units from a selected stream.

- FNDH023 Essential Mathematics or FNDE021 Mathematics 1 (Engineering students must choose FNDE021 Mathematics 1)

REQUIREMENTS
Foundation Program (Standard)
If you have completed Year 11 (with 3 passes), you will be eligible to study the Foundation Standard Program.
IELTS (Academic): 5.5 (min 5.0 in all bands); TOEFL iBT: 71-78; Pearsons Test of English Academic (PTE): 42; SPM English – Grade C6; Cambridge English Scale: 162.
EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION
Established in 1997, Sydney institute of Business and Technology (SIBT) is part of the global Navitas Group and is a tertiary college offering international students a direct pathway to a university degree. SIBT offers flexible entry criteria whereby students can complete a SIBT diploma and then directly progress into their second-year studies of a university bachelor degree. The institute also provides opportunities for students who have embarked on a career but are looking to up skill or forge a new career path. SIBT offers students a range of support services designed to assist their successful transition to university life. Upon graduating with a diploma, students can select from a variety of university options to further their studies. Over 90 per cent of SIBT students are recorded as successfully graduating and going on to continue the second year of their undergraduate degree at university.
