COURSE DESCRIPTION

This qualification reflects the role of builders, site managers and managers of small to medium-sized building businesses who apply knowledge of structural principles, codes, standards and legal requirements.

Building relates to construction and Site Management is about managing the factors around construction, such as the deployment of crews with specialised skills (including builders), product compliance, deployment of contract specialised skills, weather and site location.

Pathways from the CPC40120 – Certificate IV in Building and Construction:

After achieving the CPC40120 – Certificate IV in Building and Construction, candidates may undertake CPC50320 Diploma of Building and Construction or other Advanced Diploma level qualifications from Building and Construction Training Package – a course designed for those wishing to develop skills and a broad knowledge base for construction and building support functions related to projects implementation of a small, medium or large enterprise, in a variety of industries in both the public and private sector.

REQUIREMENTS

Students must be over 18 years of age,

Students must have completed an overseas equivalent of Year 10 or higher qualification.

Students must have either an IELTS score of 5.5 total or above with no band lower than 5.0 or equivalent.
