OVERVIEW
The Diploma of Information Technology (Game Programming) builds your game development skills so you can become a games programmer or software engineer. Make complex 3D games for mobile devices, work in a team to design game levels and environments and learn to lead a team.
Through a mix of theory and practical coursework, learn to:
- Create complex 3D interactive games
- Make games for mobile devices
- Develop design concepts for digital games and 3D media
- Collaborate in the design of 3D game levels and environments
- Lead and facilitate a team
Build your experience and get practical skills in:
- Analysing client requirements and visions
- Planning and producing games
- Following the design process from initial concept to final product with a production process
- Producing 3D characters and environments for games
- Develop modelling, texturing, and game artistry skills to fit client requirements

REQUIREMENTS
Pre-Requisite:
Certificate IV in Information Technology (Game Development)
English Language Requirements:
Academic IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL (iBT) 46 or equivalent
Or Completion of a TAFE NSW General English Program
TAFE NSW makes every effort to ensure your Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) needs are met. The level of support you require may be assessed via a review of your LLN skills with written tasks and a one-on-one interview. If you need to strengthen your LLN skills, an individual training plan will be created with you.
