COURSE DESCRIPTION
Advance your IT career with this high-level course and learn specialist skills in networking, system administration and virtualization.
According to the Australian Government’s Job Outlook service, there is strong future job growth predicted for computer network professionals. This large occupation is expected to create around 17,000 job openings over the next five years.
In this specialization you will learn how to install and manage complex IT networks, configure and manage virtual computing environments, and manage network security. You will also develop the skills required to install an enterprise virtual computing environment.
Successful completion of this course will qualify you to work in a variety of roles in the IT industry such network administrator, web developer, or computer programmer. It will also give you the foundation skills needed to undertake further studies in your field.

The successful achievement of this qualification requires you to complete all core and 14 elective units from the list below.

You may be assessed in a number of ways while you are studying at TAFE Queensland, including observation, written assessment, questioning, portfolios, work samples, third-party feedback, and through recognition of prior learning. REQUIREMENTS
Academic Requirements: Completion of Year 12 (or equivalent). Non school-leavers must have relevant work experience or qualification that indicates likely success of course completion.
International students who are under 18 years of age and are applying for a student visa are required by the Australian Government Department of Home Affairs to have adequate welfare arrangements in place.
Academic IELTS 5.5 (no individual band less than 5.0) or ISLPR 2+ on all skills or other; iBT score of 46 with 8 in Reading /7 in Learning and 18 in writing /16 in speaking; PTE Academic (Pearson Test of English) overall score of 42 with Reading /Learning /writing /speaking score of 36; Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) score of 162.
