Advance your career in the sports and coaching industry with this higher-level qualification. This course will give you the skills to become a qualified sports development manager or coach. According to the Australian Government’s Job Outlook Service, there is very strong future growth predicted for people working as sports coaches, instructors and officials. They predict there will be around 28,000 job openings in this large occupation over the next five years.
In this course you’ll cover coaching fundamentals including how to plan and deliver coaching programs for high-performing athletes. You’ll also be introduced to the area of sports development and discover how to design, deliver and manage a range of community sport and recreation activities for the general public. You’ll also develop essential industry skills including managing risk, leading and managing people, and maintaining workplace health and safety.
Successful completion of this course will qualify you to work as a coach or sports development manager across a diverse range of settings.

REQUIREMENTS
Academic Requirements: Completion of Year 12 (or equivalent). Non school-leavers must have relevant work experience or qualification that indicates likely success of course completion.
International students who are under 18 years of age and are applying for a student visa are required by the Australian Government Department of Home Affairs to have adequate welfare arrangements in place.
Academic IELTS 5.5 (no individual band less than 5.0) or ISLPR 2+ on all skills or other; iBT score of 46 with 8 in Reading /7 in Learning and 18 in writing /16 in speaking; PTE Academic (Pearson Test of English) overall score of 42 with Reading /Learning /writing /speaking score of 36; Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) score of 162.
