Upgrade your career in tourism and travel with this advanced-level qualification. This course will give you the high-level communication and technical skills that you need to manage a travel agency or tour operation.
According to the Australian Government’s Job Outlook service, the number of people working as travel agency managers grew very strongly over the past five years. Employers are looking for qualified candidates who provide good customer service, have strong people skills, and are well presented.
This course will give you the skills you need to manage budgets, lead and manage people, plan e-marketing strategies, and sell tourism products and services. Our teachers are industry experienced to train you in leadership, communication, finance and technology.
Successful completion of this course will qualify you to work as a tour operations or travel agency manager. It will also give you the foundation skills necessary to undertake further study in the field.

Assessment Methods
Skill and knowledge assessments are an essential step in progressing through your course. You may be assessed in a number of ways while you are studying at TAFE Queensland, including observation, written assessment, questioning, portfolios, work samples, third-party feedback, and through recognition of prior learning. REQUIREMENTS
Academic Requirements: Completion of Year 12 (or equivalent). Non school-leavers must have relevant work experience or qualification that indicates likely success of course completion.
International students who are under 18 years of age and are applying for a student visa are required by the Australian Government Department of Home Affairs to have adequate welfare arrangements in place.
Academic IELTS 5.5 (no individual band less than 5.0) or ISLPR 2+ on all skills or other; iBT score of 46 with 8 in Reading /7 in Learning and 18 in writing /16 in speaking; PTE Academic (Pearson Test of English) overall score of 42 with Reading /Learning /writing /speaking score of 36; Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) score of 162.
