The Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery will give you the confidence, practical skills and leadership skills to work professionally across a wide range of venues within the hospitality industry. This course provides you an opportunity to build on your Certificate III in Commercial Cookery. You will gain an in-depth understanding of kitchen management, finance management and team management to prepare you for a leadership role at any food establishment or culinary institution.
The course offers a rewarding career in the hospitality industry, including commercial cook and commis chef, suitable for supervisory or team leading role in the kitchen. REQUIREMENTS
Be at least 18 years of age.
Participate in a course entry interview to determine suitability for the course and student needs.
Have an IELTS* score of 5.5 (test results must be no more than 2 years old). English language competence can also be demonstrated through documented evidence of any of the following:
Educated for 5 years in an English-speaking country; or
Completed at least 6 months of a Certificate IV level course in an Australian RTO; or
Successful completion of an English Placement Test
