Having a strong evidence base to draw from can help you become a better leader. This Melbourne MicroCert is ideal for early childhood educators seeking the skills and strategies to take on leadership roles within the sector or enhance their existing leadership capabilities. Gain a research-backed understanding of leadership best practices: Evaluate theoretical and research-informed perspectives of leadership in early childhood education and care settings, and how these can be used to best support your staff. Explore theories and models that enhance teaching: Review contemporary research, theories and models that address the role of educational leadership. Explore ethics of care, Indigenous worldviews, social constructivism and change management theories. Drive better child learning and development outcomes: Evaluate how educational leaders can support and guide teachers across a diverse range of early childhood education contexts and settings. Consider how this evidence can help teachers improve educational practices and drive better child learning and development outcomes.
