COURSE DESCRIPTION
As we work through a time of flux, understanding how to manage team culture and dynamics is more crucial than ever. This course is ideal for leaders of any sector looking to create a team culture of respect, safety and innovation. Foster a fearless culture: Understand the benefits of a culture in which team members feel free to speak candidly, question, learn, and experiment.
Learn how to adopt leadership practices that ensure psychological safety for your team. Address team dynamics and conflict: Interrogate the causes and consequences of challenging team dynamics. Analyse and explain team member characteristics and cultural context, as well as strategies to address conflict. Use shared leadership to increase trust Learn how sharing leadership responsibilities among team members elevates accountability, trust, and professional growth. You’ll work on an intervention to share leadership within your own team.
Skills and learning outcomes:
By the end of this course, you will have enhanced communication skills as a leader, aligned with industry best practice. You will be able to: Analyse and explain causes and consequences of challenging team dynamics, drawing on theories and evidence on psychological safety and shared leadership; Evaluate suitable team leadership practices based on considerations of team task, members characteristics, and cultural context; Formulate and justify a plan for integrating evidence-based team leadership practices in your workplace.
