COURSE DESCRIPTION

The Master of Banking and Finance Law is designed to give you a sophisticated understanding of the legal and regulatory framework for the Australian and international financial sector.

It’s available for both law and non-law graduates and the flexible structure makes it ideal for practitioners and other professionals who are looking to immerse themselves in the study of banking and finance law.

As a student, you can choose from a range of subjects that include banking, funds management, finance transactions, superannuation, financial services and capital markets.

As a student in the Master of Banking and Finance Law, you’ll develop an advanced understanding of the complex body of knowledge in the field of banking and finance law, including:

  • The legal and regulatory architecture of the Australian and international financial sector across a range of subject areas;
  • Key legal issues governing relationships between financial services providers and their customers, and the theory and practice of prudential and market integrity/consumer protection regulation of financial services; and
  • The impact of globalisation, e-commerce and regulatory reform on the provision of financial services in Australia and internationally.
