COURSE DESCRIPTION
The Melbourne Business School’s Master of Management (Accounting and Finance) provides foundation and advanced studies in the disciplines of accounting and finance. Advanced levels of knowledge and skill in the two disciplines of accounting and finance are developed through a combination of core and elective subjects which will prepare graduates for entry into either the finance or accounting professions.

The Master of Management (Accounting and Finance) is suitable for business/commerce students who wish to add accounting and finance to their portfolio.
Practical Skills
You will leave the degree with a number of essential skills, including the ability to:
Obtain, analyse, synthesise and evaluate evidence for management decision making in accounting and finance
Apply strategic and critical thinking in relation to business and commerce related issues and in developing solutions to problems in organisations and ins society
Be an effective decision maker in business and commerce
The Master of Management (Accounting and Finance) program consists of 16 semester-length subjects comprising:
- 3 discipline core finance subjects
- 7 discipline core accounting subjects
- 3 finance electives
- 2 general electives
- 1 capstone subject
