The Master of Teaching (Early Childhood and Primary) is for those seeking dual registration to teach in early childhood settings (0–5 years) and across all primary years (5–12 years) as a generalist teacher.
Who is the program for? Those seeking registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) to teach: Specialised early years learning and development; Across all primary years as a generalist teacher, with specialisations in literacy and mathematics. Or to pursue a career in: Children’s services coordination; Early child research; Policy development; Quality regulation; Assessment or positions involving early intervention for children with special needs.
Careers: The Master of Teaching (Early Childhood and Primary) is accredited by the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) according to the Australian Institute of Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL) Graduate Standards and Initial Teacher Education Program Standards, and by the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA). Graduates may apply for registration to teach in Australian schools and early childhood education and care settings with children aged 0–12 years.
