COURSE DESCRIPTION
The Professional Certificate in Wellbeing Leadership promotes an evidence-based, multidisciplinary perspective to wellbeing leadership and its applications in business, community, and group contexts.
Designed for students who are interested in scientifically grounded approaches to understanding leadership in the context of wellbeing and wellbeing cultures, you’ll gain the skills, knowledge and abilities to apply leadership approaches relevant to positive psychology and wellbeing science principles to real-world contexts.
What you’ll learn
The course provides a foundation of the contemporary developments of the wellbeing leadership field; explores key elements, theories, and perspectives from a range of scholars and practitioners; and considers strategies for translating the wellbeing leadership science into practice. The course draws on a variety of pedagogical approaches to promote deep learning, connection with others, and critical scholarship, providing students with skills to apply their knowledge in the future.
Learning outcomes
On completion of this course, graduates should be able to:
Articulate the concepts, key works, scholars, and developments that have influenced the fields of wellbeing leadership.
Evaluate the contextual relevance and implications of leadership conceptualisations.
Translate wellbeing leadership and related research into personal and professional contexts.
Critically evaluate methods of research, evaluation, and practice employed in wellbeing leadership.
Demonstrate a capacity to communicate wellbeing leadership related research clearly, critically and persuasively.
