As agricultural practices continue to evolve across the globe, so too have the roles of agricultural professionals. This Melbourne MicroCert is ideal for agricultural practitioners and extensionists seeking new skills and knowledge to meet industry needs and support innovative agricultural change. Explore segmentation methodology: Understand the purpose and role of segmentation in current agricultural contexts. Investigate different methods of segmenting populations, explore the theoretical basis and application of these methods in developing intervention strategies for diverse audiences, and reflect on their moral and ethical dimensions. Apply segmentation practices to real-world settings: Critically evaluate a range of established segmentation methodologies and explore their importance to Australia’s agricultural future. Participate in peer discussions and share your experience of working with segmentation methodologies in the field. You’ll draw on both your new and prior knowledge of the agriculture sector to discuss your own findings and use real-world case studies to conduct a segmentation analysis. Propose and create an advisory response: Apply the results of your segmentation analysis to create an advisory response that supports improvements in agricultural productivity and sustainability. You’ll develop a comprehensive plan that engages key stakeholders across different target segments and address key challenges that are driving change in the agriculture sector.
