As companies and organisations struggle to adapt to a rapidly changing environment, businesses are increasingly turning to qualified human resource managers for help and advice. With many corporations realising that their employees are their most valuable asset, the field of human resource management has never been more important. The Bachelor of Arts with a Second Major in Human Resource Management will equip you with the skills you need to operate effectively in a range of working environments – from private companies to government departments and not-for-profit bodies.
Balancing the aims of employers and the needs of employees can be a tricky assignment, but the Human Resource Management program at Notre Dame will teach you how to just that. Our graduates are trained to effectively manage people so that your organisation’s targets can be met – whether you are working for a private company, government department or not-for-profit body.
This degree, which is usually taken as a Second Major as part of a Bachelor of Arts, covers the core principles of workplace management, employment relations and strategic planning – all vital for effective human resource management. Throughout your studies, you will also explore topics through courses such as Change Management, Employment Law, the Principles of Management and the Psychology of Work.
Human resource professionals are in high demand across many business sectors as companies and organisations grapple with rapid sociological, economic and technological change. Our graduates have gained employment in a variety of roles, such as workplace management and recruitment.

REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must meet High school qualifications (or equivalent) to apply for undergraduate program. Academic minimum entry requirements for international applicants vary from country to country.
IELTS (Academic) – 6.5 overall, with no individual band score lower than 6.0; CAE/CPE – 176 overall, with no individual band score lower than 169; PTE Academic – 58 overall, with no individual band score lower than 50; TOEFL (iBT) – 84 overall, with no score lower than 21 in writing and no other band score lower than 17.
