Qualify as an accredited audiologist in 2 years and be prepared for a rewarding career as a clinical audiologist.
Communication is vital to the quality of life of all populations, and audiologists play an essential role in improving hearing and wellbeing. They make a true difference to the lives of others and are in high demand due to their specialist skills.
UQ is known worldwide for the quality of its audiology graduates, the commitment of its teaching staff and its strong research focus.
This dynamic 2 year full-time program integrates the theoretical foundations of audiology with practical clinical skills to prepare you for a career as an audiologist. You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of clinical audiology by undertaking your own research.
You’ll learn from experienced audiology educators and researchers who are specialists in areas including neuroscience and rehabilitation, ageing, participation and disability. You’ll also complete more than 250 hours of supervised clinical placements at UQ’s Audiology Clinic, as well as other private and public clinics and educational facilities in Brisbane and around Australia.

REQUIREMENTS
To be considered for enrolment, an applicant must hold a bachelor degree; study in fields such as health, humanities, education, social, physical or biological sciences is recommended.
If the bachelor degree was completed more than 10 years prior to program commencement, an applicant must have subsequently completed a postgraduate qualification, or a minimum of 8 units / 4 courses of university level study.
Entry is competitive based on GPA.
The minimum GPA to be considered for admission into this program is 4.0. The GPA cut-off for those offered a place in 2020 was 5.33.
English Proficiency
IELTS overall 7; reading 7; writing 7; speaking 7; listening 7. For other English Language Proficiency Tests and Scores approved for UQ
TOEFL IBT – Overall 100, listening 25, reading 25, writing 27, speaking 23.
TOEFL PB – Overall 600, listening 59, reading 59, writing 64/6.
Pearsons – Overall 72, sub bands minimum 72.
CES – Overall 185, All sub bands minimum 185.
BE and OET are not accepted.
