Our Master of Global Health recognises the connection between health and threats to health around the world. Our teaching and international field placement opportunities will prepare graduates to redress the inequitable distribution of health and health resources, and improve health globally.
Who is it for?
Our course is designed for graduates who have either a medical or health background, or graduates from other fields who are passionate about equity, and engaging in activities which support and improve health and well-being throughout the life course and across the globe.
Career paths
Our Master of Global Health will prepare you for a variety of careers, including:
Monitoring and evaluation officer in a non-government organisation
Public health policy analyst/ advisor within a government or non-government organisations
Public health advisor to an international aid agency or government department
Public health officer in a local area or state-level health service
Project officer or health researcher at a university or research institute
Furthermore, Master of Global Health graduates can obtain employment with:
Non-government organisations in Australia and internationally
Government departments and ministries of health
Multilateral and bilateral agencies (such as the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the United Nations or the World Health Organization)
Australian health services, including Indigenous and community-based health organisations
International health policy institutes
Academic institutions, such as universities or research institutes
