Neuroscientists investigate areas of the nervous system. How do nervous systems grow, develop and learn? How do we process the sensory stimuli we receive? You’ll be taught by academics with established international reputations in research.
Discover the nervous system at all levels, from molecules that make up individual nerve cells and the transfer of information from one nerve cell to another, to the complexities of how behaviour, thought and emotions are produced.

Neuroscience is a diverse, multidisciplinary science and graduates will be well suited to a range of employment destinations including research and clinical laboratories, government agencies and science communication.
Further Study
Honours in Neuroscience is a blend of coursework and research project work designed to introduce you to the world of research. It will equip you with the skills and flexibility of outlook needed to deal with rapidly changing technologies and lead into habits of critical thinking, problem analysis and public presentation which will serve in any leadership role. The combination of formal study and practical experience offered by this honours specialisation is suitable preparation for entry into graduate professional courses such as medicine, physiotherapy, audiology, chiropractic, nursing, teaching or forensics, especially for students interested in furthering those fields through research. The honours specialisation also provides a suitable entry-level qualification for careers in science communication and biomedical research.
REQUIREMENTS
Entry requirements may vary from country to country. Students are required to complete an international academic qualification equivalent to Australian High School (or equivalent).
English language requirements:
IELTS (academic): Overall minimum score of 6.5, no band lower than 6.0
TOEFL Internet-based TOEFL (iBT): an overall score of 82 or above with a minimum score of 22 in writing, 18 in reading, 20 in speaking and 20 in listening
Pearsons Test of English (PTE) (academic): An overall score of 64 with a minimum score of 59 in the speaking and writing sections, and no less than 54 in the other sections
