COURSE DESCRIPTION
A Diploma of Business (Marketing) gives you the foundational skills to create exciting strategic marketing campaigns. At Torrens University, you’ll develop practical skills that are in demand by employers. Put your learnings into practice with real briefs for real clients.
During this course, you will engage in theoretical constructs that inform marketing practice. You will engage in practice both in simulated marketing workplace roles and in operating businesses and reflect on feedback from industry mentors and assessors. This course comprises eight core subjects and offers a pathway into a Bachelor of Business, as well as a standalone qualification.

Understand the role of marketing across organisations of differing sizes.
Engage with customers before influencing their behaviour.
Examine industry trends, responsibilities, needs and opportunities.
Identify branding opportunities, and what makes a brand unique.
Undertake 50 hours of industry experience.
Career opportunities
With a Diploma of Business (Marketing), you’ll be well placed to take on an entry-level role in the field, furthering your skills in a real-world environment in a variety of industries. In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to move into a Bachelor of Business where you can specialise in Marketing, Event Management, Sport Management, Entrepreneurship, or Hospitality and Tourism Management.

REQUIREMENTS
Successful completion of at least 0.25 EFTSL at AQF level 6, 0.5 EFTSL at AQF level 5 or above, or equivalent;
OR
Australian secondary school certificate, or equivalent Senior Secondary qualification, or baccalaureate Diploma;
AND
Academic IELTS 5.5 (no band less than 5.0) or equivalent.
OR alternative entry requirements may be available. Alternative entry may include assessment and approval of prior study, or successful completion of a readiness assessment.
