Understand how data informs new technologies
Data scientists create and use a variety of tools and frameworks to examine patterns in data. These frameworks help inform the development of software and technologies used in the computer science discipline – everything from smart phones and homes to autonomous vehicles and life-saving health equipment.
The combined Bachelor of Computer Science/Bachelor of Data Science will equip you with knowledge and practical experience in both areas. Giving you the skills to develop new and innovative technologies and forge and exciting and rewarding career.
Our computer science laboratories provide the perfect practical environment to apply your knowledge and test your skills. As a student, you will use the latest data analysis and programming software such as Python and R.
Throughout your studies you will tackle real-world problems, develop solutions to challenges and put your theory into practice.

260 units of Core courses
10 unit Directed course
10 units of Electives
40 units of Major courses (this includes an additional 10-unit Elective for the Cyber Security Major only)
