COURSE DESCRIPTION
The Bachelor of Environmental Science and Management (Honours) is a one-year full time program that allows students to further develop their specific area of interest and is a pathway into Research Higher Degree study. The program consists of 80 units of advanced theory, higher level learning and research.
Program learning outcomes
On successful completion of the program students will have:
- Demonstrate independence and critical thinking by formulating a research or capstone project to investigate a current topic or issue in the field of environmental science and management
- Plan and execute the research using appropriate scientific methodologies to collect, critically analyze, interpret and synthesize findings and present those findings and their implications
- Demonstrate professional interest and adaptability in an area of environmental science and management by preparing and presenting well-researched persuasive arguments to a variety of audiences.
Total units required
- 80 units.
Honours
There are three classes of Honours: Class I, Class II and Class III. Class II will have two divisions, namely Division 1 and Division 2.
