This highly flexible degree allows you to tailor your studies to your interests and future career.
You could:
- build your own degree by completing a mix of minors (with or without electives) or sub-majors across a range of different study areas
- explore 16 other UniSA Bachelor of Business degrees across specialisations such as Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Finance, Property, Management, Tourism and Event Management and more, and transfer with study credit for most successfully completed courses
- complete a bachelor’s degree and master’s qualification in just four years with our 3+1 Pathway to Masters package, or
- undertake a one-year international exchange with Rennes School of Business in Brittany, France.
Your career:
Due to the flexibility in this degree, there are many career paths our graduates aspire to – your career will depend on your specialisation. You could consider careers such as:
- Business adviser: working with new or established businesses; analysing business plans and financial statements; advising on investments, marketing, funding and financial trends; understanding consumer needs and how to improve profitability
- Business development manager: sales planning; account management; relationship building; developing business plans; marketing initiatives
- Business consultant: providing managing consulting services to help organisations improve performance and efficiency; analysing businesses and creating solutions to help meet goals
- Business owner: setting up a business or businesses; taking risks and serving as the chief decision maker; monitoring and controlling business activities, budget and resources
- Entrepreneur: using initiative, commercial acumen and broad ranging business skills to develop or transform a product or service for yourself or an organisation
- Human resources adviser: advising and supporting employees about human resource related policies and practices; coordinating recruitment and induction processes; maintaining personnel and recruitment records; researching and developing human resources policy, projects and programs
- Marketing and communications officer: implementing communication and marketing strategies; delivering public relations messages to raise organisational profile; maintaining websites and social media; proactive and reactive media duties
What you’ll learn:
The degree starts with core courses in business. These will give you a solid grasp of business fundamentals such as international business, economics and entrepreneurship. There are also twelve courses that you can use to custom build your degree. For example, you could choose to do either:
- three minors (four courses each), or
- two minors (four courses each) and four electives, or
- two sub-majors (six courses each), or
- a 12-month international exchange and four electives.
You can choose from a wide range of electives (please refer to the Electives drop-down beneath the Degree Structure below for more information) and learn more about majors, minors and sub-majors.
Or you could explore 16 other UniSA Bachelor of Business degrees across specialisations such as Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Finance, Property, Management, Tourism and Event Management and more, and transfer with study credit for most successfully completed courses.

SAIBT Diploma of Business – if you complete this two year Diploma, you can apply to enter the 2nd year of this degree
REQUIREMENTS
Applicants are required to meet one of the following criteria with a competitive result, and demonstrate that they fulfil any prerequisite requirements and essential requirements for admission:
Recent secondary education:
Meet any prerequisite requirements with a minimum grade of C- or equivalent and
Complete secondary qualifications equivalent to SACE, or
Complete the International Baccalaureate Diploma with a minimum score of 24 points
or
Higher education study
Complete or partly complete a recognized higher education program at a recognized higher education institution or
Complete at least four Open Universities Australia (OUA) courses at undergraduate level or above
or
Vocational Education and Training (VET)
Complete an award from a registered training organization at Certificate IV or above
or
Work and life experience
Complete a UniSA Foundation Studies program or equivalent, or
Hold completed secondary qualifications equivalent to SACE obtained more than 2 years in the past
English language requirements:
IELTS score of 6.0; TOEFL iBT score of 60 with Reading and Writing not less than 18; TOEFL paper-based test (PBT) score of 550 with TWE of 4.5; iBT score of 60 with Reading and Writing not less than 18; Cambridge CAE/CPE score of 169; Pearson’s test of English (Academic) (PTE) score of 50 with Reading and Writing communicative scores not less than 50; CELUSA score of AE4.
