The Graduate Certificate in Health Services Management will enhance the knowledge and skills of health professionals aspiring to work in leadership and management roles. Professionals already working in this capacity will also enhance their career by gaining a formal qualification.
In just six-months of full-time study, you will be equipped with the skills, knowledge and capabilities to make informed decisions in a managerial capacity in the health and aged care sectors.
Upon successful completion, you also have the option to use your credit to continue studying and build your expertise with the Graduate Diploma and/or the Masters’ degree.
What you’ll learn
You will develop skills and knowledge to:
Understand theoretical and practical knowledge of organisational behaviour and the psychology of individuals and groups, including motivation and leadership
Lead a multi-stakeholder environment and handle social leadership challenges responsibly
Learn what it means to be an effective and responsible leader
Provide planning, budgeting and identify cost efficiencies to contribute to financial decision-making
Prepare for leadership roles in health within Australia and internationally.
You can also tailor your studies by choosing an elective subject aligned to your area of interest. For example, you may wish to gain skills required to design and evaluate complex health interventions, or pick an elective that will enhance your analytical skills.

REQUIREMENTS
Applicants are required to hold a bachelor’s degree or higher from an approved Field of Education (FOE).

Behavioural Science
Biomedical Engineering
Public and Health Care Management
Biochemistry and Cell Biology
Genetics
Microbiology
Human Biology
Applicants with a qualification from a FOE not listed above may be approved at the discretion of the Program Director.
English Language Requirements:
IELTS score of 6.5 (with 6.0 in Reading and Writing); TOEFL iBT score of 79 with Reading and Writing not less than 18; TOEFL paper-based test (PBT) score of 577 with TWE of 4.5; Cambridge CAE/CPE score of 177; Pearson’s test of English (Academic) (PTE) score of 58 with Reading and Writing communicative scores not less than 50; CELUSA score of AE5.
