The information technology and communications (ICT) sector is one of the fastest growing industries in Australia, with the rapid pace of innovation and transformation in this field creating high demand for skilled IT professionals.
Developed to equip you with a comprehensive grounding in current IT and computing knowledge, the Undergraduate Certificate in Information Technology is a flexible study option that will enhance your competencies. Whether you already work in the ICT industry and are looking for an accelerated option to learn new practical skills, or you want to launch a new career, this qualification is the perfect foundation to kickstart your learning.
You’ll graduate with a nationally recognised university qualification aligned to industry demand, or be eligible to use the credit gained from your studies to transition straight into the first year of the Bachelor of Information Technology. With up to four courses (18 units) of credit awarded for successful completion of the undergraduate certificate, you’ll also have the option to tailor a bespoke study pathway into a range of degrees across data analytics, business, STEM, and more.
REQUIREMENTS
Applicants are required to meet one of the following criteria with a competitive result:
Higher education study
Successfully completed equivalent to a minimum of half a year of full-time study over a higher education
program at a recognised higher education provider
OR
Vocational Education and Training (VET)
Complete an award from a registered training organisation at Certificate III or above
OR
Recent secondary education
Completed a secondary education qualification equivalent to SACE, such as an interstate year 12 or
international qualification
English Language Requirements:
IELTS score of 6.0; TOEFL iBT score of 60 with Reading and Writing not less than 18; TOEFL paper-based test (PBT) score of 550 with TWE of 4.5; Cambridge CAE/CPE score of 169; Pearson’s test of English (Academic) (PTE) score of 50 with Reading and Writing communicative scores not less than 50; CELUSA score of AE4.
