The Associate Degree of Construction will give you the freedom of choice to start up your career or set a stepping stone for further study.
Gain specialised skills in built environment, quantity surveying and building services design as well as the qualifications for higher salaries and job prospects in the building and construction industries.
Get hands-on with practical course material and work with professional equipment alongside learning about the management of construction of some of the world’s biggest projects.
Develop the knowledge to work in the industries of commercial, industrial, civil, and residential construction and apply your skills in problem-solving, analysis, and engineering design.

Further study
Looking to do a Bachelor degree? Upon completion of the Associate Degree of Construction, you will be able to articulate into the Bachelor of Construction (Honours) or the Bachelor of Engineering Science (Infrastructure Management Engineering).
Professional accreditation
Graduates of the Associate Degree of Construction meet the Queensland Building and Construction Commission’s technical qualification requirements to hold a Builder Open class of licence and a Builder Project Management Services licence subject to demonstrating the required level of industry experience.
Career outcomes
Career opportunities include function roles in construction management such as site management, contract administration, estimating, project management and the like in client organisations, and also in contracting organisations such as builders, medium and large scale construction contractors, and construction project management firms.
REQUIREMENTS
Applicant must have Australian year 12 level or equivalent.
Students from different country must have qualifications equivalent to Australia.
English language requirements
IELTS (Academic only) – Overall minimum score of 6.0 and no individual band score of less than 5.5; TOEFL (internet based) – Overall minimum score of 80 and no individual skills score of less than 19; Pearson (PTE Academic) – Overall score of 50 and no individual Communicative Skills score of less than 50; Cambridge C1 Advanced C2 Proficiency – Overall minimum score of 169 with no less than 162 in each skill.
