COURSE DESCRIPTION

Overview

Build expert knowledge by studying this extended major in criminology and criminal justice. Have the freedom to complete additional criminology or criminal justice subjects and graduate with a broader scope of knowledge in your field of interest.
Learn about the criminological theories that explain why people commit crime, society’s current responses to crime, and the strategies in place for preventing it.
Take advantage of the opportunity to explore a range of subjects that interest you, shaping your skill set in the area of criminology and criminal justice. Develop your knowledge and skills in specialist areas including research and investigation practices, forensic and criminal psychology, victimology, punishment, juvenile justice, crime and the media, and environment crime.

Career outcomes

REQUIREMENTS

Applicant must have Australian year 12 level or equivalent.

Students from different country must have qualifications equivalent to Australia.

English language requirements

IELTS (Academic only) – Overall minimum score of 6.0 and no individual band score of less than 5.5; TOEFL (internet based) – Overall minimum score of 80 and no individual skills score of less than 19; Pearson (PTE Academic) – Overall score of 50 and no individual Communicative Skills score of less than 50; Cambridge C1 Advanced C2 Proficiency – Overall minimum score of 169 with no less than 162 in each skill.
