Overview
Studying Honours allows you to further your journalism skills, and offers you the opportunity to extend your Journalism studies into a fourth year.
You will undertake advanced study in journalism through completion of a dissertation under the supervision of staff with both industry experience and scholarly expertise.
The program is a pathway for post-graduate learning such as a Masters degree or PhD.
You will be given the opportunity to produce research that could enhance further understanding of production processes in print, broadcast and digital media.
Further study
This degree will also serve as a pathway to further study, such as the Master of Research or the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).
Career outcomes
Graduates will be equipped for a career as a journalism scholar, researcher, or media commentator/specialist.

REQUIREMENTS
Completion of an Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) in Arts or a related discipline, with a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 5.0.
Students from different country must have qualifications equivalent to Australia.
English language requirements
IELTS (Academic only) – Overall minimum score of 6.0 and no individual band score of less than 5.5; TOEFL (internet based) – Overall minimum score of 80 and no individual skills score of less than 19; Pearson (PTE Academic) – Overall score of 50 and no individual Communicative Skills score of less than 50; Cambridge C1 Advanced C2 Proficiency – Overall minimum score of 169 with no less than 162 in each skill.
