COURSE DESCRIPTION

Overview

This major explores the future of visual art and its applications in evolving new employment sectors such as health, design, new media, architecture, museum and gallery professions and education (with further study).
A key focus of this major is how artists have historically and currently translated their work and ideas principles as societies evolve.
Explore the storytelling and narrative features of art and the broad range of media and cultural practices involved in the process of creation.
Branch out your studies with a double major or minor in a diverse range of topics from over 30 discipline areas.

If you have competed a Bachelor of Arts, you can enhance your professional skills by choosing specialised study in the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) or Master of Research.

Graduates are equipped for various roles across the creative and cultural industries, and in corporate and community sectors such as education (with further study) and the media.

REQUIREMENTS

Applicant must have Australian year 12 level or equivalent.

Students from different country must have qualifications equivalent to Australia.

English language requirements

IELTS (Academic only) – Overall minimum score of 6.0 and no individual band score of less than 5.5; TOEFL (internet based) – Overall minimum score of 80 and no individual skills score of less than 19; Pearson (PTE Academic) – Overall score of 50 and no individual Communicative Skills score of less than 50; Cambridge C1 Advanced C2 Proficiency – Overall minimum score of 169 with no less than 162 in each skill.
