COURSE DESCRIPTION

Overview

Set yourself up for a career in the outdoors with Australia’s largest surveying education provider.
Study the Bachelor of Surveying (Honours) with UniSQ and get the opportunity to register as a Professional Surveyor through this professionally accredited degree.
Be prepared to work in land development, construction, or mining by gaining in-depth knowledge of land and sustainable studies, geographical information systems, mining, and construction.
In your final year you’ll have the opportunity to complete a research project and delve into specialist surveying topics.

Professional accreditation

This degree is fully accredited by the Surveyors Board of Queensland and is recognised in every Australian state and in New Zealand through reciprocal arrangements. The degree, together with relevant industry experience, enables registration and/or licensing as a cadastral surveyor with the Boards of Surveyors in Australia and New Zealand.

When you graduate, you will be eligible to apply for membership with the Geospatial Council of Australia.

Career outcomes

Surveyors are in high demand within Australia. When you graduate, you will be equipped for a career as a professional surveyor in areas such as land development, mining and civil construction.
You will be able to work in a variety of settings, including property and land development organisations, surveying companies, construction companies, government institutions, mining companies and private consultancy, among many others.

REQUIREMENTS

Applicant must have Australian year 12 level or equivalent.

Students from different country must have qualifications equivalent to Australia.

English language requirements

IELTS (Academic only) – Overall minimum score of 6.0 and no individual band score of less than 5.5; TOEFL (internet based) – Overall minimum score of 80 and no individual skills score of less than 19; Pearson (PTE Academic) – Overall score of 50 and no individual Communicative Skills score of less than 50; Cambridge C1 Advanced C2 Proficiency – Overall minimum score of 169 with no less than 162 in each skill.
