COURSE DESCRIPTION

Overview

Become a specialist in the area of aged care nursing. You’ll develop a range of skills equipping you to successfully support the specific needs of the elderly.
Expand your expertise in the perspectives of end of life care and learn to provide professional, tailored care as an aged-care nurse.
Develop and finesse your leadership qualities while studying the biological, psychological, and social aspects of aging throughout UniSQ’s online gerontology courses.
Choose from an enrolment pattern that will prepare you for further research or a research-focused career. Or, you can select subjects allowing you to specialise in aged care nursing in a clinical setting.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Completed a 3-year bachelor degree in the area of nursing from an Australian university, or equivalent.
  • Hold a current Professional Registration as a Division 1 nurse, or equivalent, with either Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or relevant regulatory body in applicant’s home country.

IELTS (Academic only) – a minimum of IELTS 7.0 or equivalent.
