COURSE DESCRIPTION
The Bachelor of Arts will equip you for today’s rapidly changing world. You will develop skills and capacities necessary to understand how the world has come to be the way it is today.
Geography training equips you to think spatially and critically about the human-environment relationship. Human and physical geography subjects impart understanding of environmental processes and interlinked social issues, including Indigenous perspectives. In-demand practical skills (including innovative geospatial technologies, qualitative and quantitative research methods) allow Geographers to contribute solutions to contemporary issues arising from human interaction with the Earth.
This major is designed so that graduates meet entry requirements for the Master of Teaching postgraduate qualification, when paired with a history major or minor.
In addition to the geography major you will choose a minor or a second major from the Bachelor of Arts offerings.
