COURSE DESCRIPTION
The Master of Engineering Science (Electrical Engineering) is a two-year full-time year degree at UNSW’s leading engineering faculty. You’ll explore the study of electrical engineering where you’ll learn across a variety of engineering systems, including renewable energy and signal processing.
This postgraduate degree is designed to take your knowledge of a specialisation from an undergraduate degree level to an advanced post graduate level. Armed with expertise, you’ll be able to enter a new field or lay the foundations for a career in research and development.
Upgrade your skills by focusing on your discipline of choice or opt for a multidisciplinary approach when choosing your electives. This program offers both disciplinary and advanced disciplinary knowledge, with a strong enquiry-based learning component for proactive learning.

We also host Australia’s largest high voltage laboratory, with facilities for high voltage testing (AC, DC and Impulse voltages) and condition monitoring of electrical equipment, with partial discharge detection equipment, transformer ratio arm bridges, recovery voltage testing, thermal testing and variable frequency testing of insulation.
