The specialist knowledge of engineering technologists is a key element in the practice of engineering. The engineering technologist’s focused learning and practical skills are highly utilized in industry and make a significant contribution to Australian engineering success and prosperity.
The Western Sydney region has experienced strong growth and the engineering industry requires engineering technologists in a range of specialisations to support industry.
The Bachelor of Engineering Science degree covers all major engineering domains, and you can experience many facets of engineering before deciding your area of specialisation at the end of your first year.
The Bachelor of Engineering Science may be used as a pathway to the four-year Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree. It is also offered as a three-year exit program for the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours).
Industry Recognised
The majors in Advanced Manufacturing, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics & Mechatronics Engineering, and Sustainability Engineering are provisionally accredited by Engineers Australia at the Penrith, Parramatta, and Sydney City campuses (Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical engineering majors only).
As part of this program you will also complete a minimum of 300 hours of industrial experience which helps you to emerge with real-world experiences when you commence your professional career.

REQUIREMENTS
Students must have Successful completion of Year 12 or an equivalent qualification.
English Language Requirements:
IELTS: 6.5 overall score (min 6.0 in each subtest); TOEFL internet-based score of 82: Writing 21, Speaking 18, Reading 13, Listening 13; Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE): 58 overall; No communication skills less than 50.
