If you want to explore how the mind works and question why people behave the way they do, our leading Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) is the right program for your future.
Take the first step to understand why we think, feel, and behave the way we do in personal, professional, and societal environments. Allow us to take you on a scientific discovery to understand individual abilities, attitudes and the beginnings of our personality and emotional states.
You will develop knowledge and skills to understand and explain human behaviour and experience. You will have the option to include in your study program electives such as Digital Mental Health; Behaviour and Environment; Psychology, Crime and Law; and Positive Psychology.
After the first three years of fundamentals of psychology you may progress to the 4th, honours year which further enhance your knowledge and skills and prepare you for a range of work opportunities or pathways to postgraduate studies in research or in professional training programs towards registration as a generalist or clinical psychologist. As a valued undergraduate student at Western, you will be eligible for early applications and interviews for our psychology postgraduate programs.
Professional accreditation
This is a four year fully accredited program by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council.

REQUIREMENTS
Students must have Successful completion of Year 12 or an equivalent qualification.
English Language Requirements:
IELTS: 6.5 overall score (min 6.0 in each subtest); TOEFL internet-based score of 82: Writing 21, Speaking 18, Reading 13, Listening 13; Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE): 58 overall; No communication skills less than 50.
