COURSE DESCRIPTION
This College pathway course is designed to provide you with the training and theory to enable you to work as professional interpreters and/or translators.
The course consists of a key field of study in Interpreting and Translation and a major in language, linguistics and cultural studies.
You will also complete a period of professional practical experience.
Our graduates are eligible to sit for certification by the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI) at the Certified Interpreter and Translator level.
The first year of this course is delivered by The College, via extended face-to-face hours in smaller learning environments.
This program offers a pathway into Bachelor of Arts (Interpreting and Translation), a degree which provides students with the appropriate training and theoretical background to equip them to work as professional interpreters and/or translators.

REQUIREMENTS
Students must have Successful completion of Year 12 or an equivalent qualification.
English Language Requirements: IELTS 5.5 overall score, minimum 5.0 in each subtest; TOEFL internet-based Total 59 score Writing 17; listening and reading 7; speaking 15; Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE): 42 overall; No communication skills less than 40.
