The CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care course is designed for those looking to continue working in the childcare industry with long term prospects of becoming a childcare centre supervisor or manager.
By undertaking this nationally accredited qualification, you will be provided with the knowledge and skills required to manage the care of children by supervising and/or managing those engaged to run activities for groups of children during the day who are responsible for;
Positively interacting with all children, nurturing their confidence and self-esteem
Ensuring a clean and healthy environment for all children
Participating in supervising indoor/outdoor environments to provide safety for the children at all times
Planning engaging activities, good communication skills, manage a budget, supervise employees
Designing and implementing curriculum and approved learning framework within the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard.

REQUIREMENTS
There are no formal entry requirements set by the Training Package for this course however for admission Yorke requires the following evidence:
18 years old and above
have a current Working with Children Check or apply and receive one within term 1 of the course (work placement begins in term 2)
current Police check to undertake work placement
You must have completed the following 11 units as part of a CHC30113 – Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent through Credit transfer or Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) arrangements to enter this program:
1. CHCDIV002 Promote Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander cultural safety Core – Enter with a credit
2. CHCECE001 Develop cultural competence Core – Enter with a credit
3. CHCECE002 Ensure the health and safety of children Core – Enter with a credit
4. CHCECE003 Provide care for children Core – Enter with a credit
5. CHCECE004 Promote and provide healthy food and drinks Core – Enter with a credit
6. CHCECE005 Provide care for babies and toddlers Core – Enter with a credit
7. CHCECE007 Develop positive and respectful relationships with children Core – Enter with a credit
8. CHCECE009 Use an approved learning framework to guide practice Core – Enter with a credit
