COURSE DESCRIPTION
Prepare yourself for a global career. You’ll learn about how culture, language, political systems and socio-economic factors affect international business practice. Apply your understanding of cultural differences and the principles of trade and management, integrating cultural understanding with your skills in core business disciplines of finance, marketing, human resource (HR) management and global sustainability.
What you will study
First year
A typical first year may include:
- core topics in accounting for managers; quantitative methods; management, people and organisations; economics; law; and marketing principles
- a selection of additional business topics and electives.
Second year
A typical second year may include:
- further core topics and specialisation topics in international business
- a selection of additional business topics and electives.
Third year
A typical third year may include:
- further core topics
- further specialisation topics in international business
- a selection of additional business topics and electives from across the University.
Your career
Our business graduates work throughout the world with the range of opportunities continually expanding. Many of our graduates have gone on to reach very senior positions in both the private and public sectors internationally.

REQUIREMENTS
Flinders University recognises international secondary schooling for direct entry to undergraduate programs.
English language requirements
- IELTS (Academic): 6.0 Overall with 6.0 Speaking, 6.0 Writing;
- TOEFL iBT: 72 Overall with 18 Speaking, 21 Writing;
- Pearson PTE Academic: 50 Overall with 50 Speaking, 50 Writing;
- Cambridge C1 Advanced: 169 Overall with 169 Writing, 169 Speaking;
- Occupational English Test (OET): 300 Speaking, 300 Writing; Duolingo (Up to and including Semester 2, 2024): Overall 95-100
