COURSE DESCRIPTION

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply project management skills and knowledge. Individuals may manage projects in a variety of contexts, across a number of industry sectors. Individuals have project leadership and management roles and are responsible for achieving project objectives.

This course will give individuals the confidence to manage a major project from end to end. With units on planning, budgeting, reporting and scope, individuals will become confident in assessing risk, presenting your vision to stakeholders and leading team effectiveness.

Training Pathways

On successful completion of the BSB50820 Diploma of Project Management qualification students may choose to enrol in the BSB60420 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management at IAA or take advantage of the credit transfer arrangements available with the University of South Australia and other universities in South Australia.

Employment Pathways

Participants who complete this qualification may be able to gain positions of a range of different and interesting roles including: Construction manager, Contract, program and project administrators, ICT project manager, Change management leader, Project Manager. In Australia, the range and number of specialist project managers are growing as our economy transitions from resources-based to service-based.

REQUIREMENTS

Language, literacy and numeracy test required as condition of enrolment

Completion of Year 12 / SACE 2 / HSC or equivalent

Minimum IELTS 5.5 (overall) or equivalent
