COURSE OVERVIEW
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who perform a broad range of tasks on a variety of light vehicles in the automotive retail, service and repair industry. This course, as offered by VETA – Vocation Education Training Australia, is for Students who want to gain a AUR30620-Certificate III in Light Vehicle Technology qualification via a classroom delivery model.
COURSE DURATION
This qualification will be delivered over 26 weeks, including 24 weeks of training and assessment spread over 2 terms of 12 weeks and 2 weeks of holidays. Class sessions are planned to ensure that students have a mixture of practical and theoretical components and those classes cater for a wide variety of learning styles.

ASSESSMENT ARRANGEMENTS
Assessment methods used for this qualification will provide a range of ways for individuals to demonstrate that they have met the required outcomes including:

• Questioning (oral or written)
At the beginning of each unit, trainers will outline the assessment tasks that must be completed.
REQUIREMENTS
Be 18 years and above.
Have satisfactorily completed Year 12 or equivalent; or Non-school-leavers selected according to eligibility and merit, vocational experience, previous study and personal competencies.
Thus undertaking certificate IV in automotive mechanical dingoes MUST have completed AUR 30620 certificate III in light vehicle mechanical technology qualification or be able to demonstrate equivalent competency. All clients with English as a second language satisfy one of the following English language proficiency requirements:
International English Language Testing System (IELTS), general module – score of 5.5 with no individual score less than 5.0. TOEFL Internet based test minimum score of 46.
Pearson Test of English Academic minimum score 42. Cambridge English: Advanced (Certificate in Advanced English) minimum score 162; or a pass in Occupational English Test Certificate. Those who do not meet the minimum English requirement will need to successfully complete an English program leading to a level of equivalent to the aforementioned English test score.
